Neave.tv

Neave.tv

Definitely the coolest application of web technology I’ve seen in many years. Plus, really cool videos. Major cable companies should be scared.

Astyle

And a really great logo, if a little ribald.

If you’ve got a blog, you may as well post links.

I wish I were a better blogger, but until the world turns in that direction, I give you these:

In like Flynn.

I missed a call at 7p.m. from the director.

Then I missed her again at 9. Her voicemail was vague, simply asking for a call back. So I frantically dialed her, over and over, baffled at the busy signal which I have not heard in years.

Finally, at 9:18, she picked up.

“I have a few questions for you,” she said matter-of-factly following a little bit of a gush from me.

“Would you like to play the narrator?” she asked.

“Definitely,” I replied. There was a small feeling of relief that I would likely not need to adhere as strictly to rehearsal schedules with such a minor monologue.

“Also, do you think you could help us with the fight choreography?”

“Absolutely! That would be great if I could help!” I exuberated. A little more of my time, but well worth it, I imagined.

“Oh, and how would you like to be Gaston?”

I nearly choked. “I would *love* to be Gaston. That would be a thrill.” I said, nearly shouting.

She went on to say that they were impressed with my audition and that I made it difficult for them to see anyone else in the role. With my pudgy frame, bald pate and baby face, I was nervous that I would never get to be in such a role, but that is no longer a sticking point.

I will play Gaston. *Ben Affleck in Shakespeare in Love voice* I will play him.

We would make the perfect pair, rather like my thighs.

Last night, I auditioned for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast with the Lakeland Players [not the greatest website, I know].

I have a good feeling about it; I nailed the audition (so far as I know) and was one of only two men there, one of whom could not have been more than 18. The director had her husband playing some roles to fill space and even asked for us to suggest more men for the male roles.

So, my relative inexperience will soon be lessened significantly, if all goes as hoped.

Thanks, Czelt. And yes, we do need L-O-S-E.com next.

I do stand on the bathmat…

How to Shower [youtube, mildly NSFW]

Oh, for the love of… I’m away for two weeks, and everything I see is already OFN. I’m sorry internet, for failing you. Things just have been in a state of rebirth and that leaves little time for net-spelunking.

I’ll be back with you in a moment. Just let me clear my head.

What has science DONE?

Sorry for the downtime to all those on the steelbuddha network. The mother ship has finally landed however in the form of a new host, complete with PHP5. Other sites will be reinstated as time permits.

Lots more to say, but — just this second — no time to say it.

And for the tech geeks.

In the category of never-say-never, this design for CSS Zen Garden utilizes what would likely be considered a big no-no on the web to great effect. An animated gif as a background image. Look at the screen flicker. Quite clever. Bravo.
