Resistance of banality through proliferation.

Another welcome is due to my good friend, Bjorn, without whose company I spiral into mediocrity. I am jealous that his comments are already bursting with conversation, but he is deserving and so may live. For now.

Ignore me and I’m yours.

Just bought The Tick live-action television series on DVD. In the “Where are they now?” category, Captain Liberty (Liz Vassey), the superhero whose vagina killed the Immortal, now sells amusing T-shirts. And shows off her bod.

The vagina she keeps to herself, for the safety of geeks everywhere.

Work is the best time to blog.

Clicking through my Amazon gold box, this option was presented to me. Curious, I found myself clicking. Now, no matter what else I click on, listed among my recommendations are all sorts of similar items. How ever will I explain this to my parole officer?

Czelticgirl, however, gets items both appropriate and daring. When she’s not getting recommended David Hasselhoff CDs.

A blog entry inside a blog entry continuing to infinity

This blog has a purpose yet undiscovered. Someday, however, I expect myself to put out high quality work through this medium. Or at least to make myself keep writing *anything* so that my limited education doesn’t go to waste.

I’d like to be remembered for little quips I have made throughout my life, but also as someone who created pieces of real quality. I would also like to be remembered as having very much enjoyed ice cream. Because the truth of that is undeniable and could serve as a constant in this ever-variable existence.

Jesus makes the girls scream.

I think their webmaster is playing a little joke on them.

Put these choice phrases from this page together with the URL and you can write your own punchline:

“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord.”
“Great adult options.”

Like this one: “Hey, at least there were no typos; it could have been ‘fist.'”

low enthusiasm theater for the mind

The fact that I can find this shit on iTunes, but not the new Firewater disc, or even any full Sondheim musicals makes me wonder why I like iTunes at all frankly. That tune with him and Journey, however, is a gem for the ages.

Even the mighty Uruk-Hai will not stand in the way of this meme’s destiny.

Fully restored Lord of the Rings clip from the upcoming ultra-extendo DVD series.

For dial-up users, I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. That link isn’t worth your valuable time. Better stick to hamster dance.

Why I need less spare time.

(With apologies to smaller people).

An IM with Czelticgirl about this yielded the following regrettable conversation:

SB: Seems like exploitation. “Look at the freaks! they have different genetic makeup!”
CG: Look at the freaks try to get a date!
SB: And midget porn sales WILL spike. I guarantee
CG: Just wait — if this show does well, its star’s gonna get a call from Playgirl.
SB: “I wish I had a girl like Missy on ‘Joe Dwarf'” Maybe a cameo from Gimli?
CG: Missy? Ooh — and we’ve found a new calling for hobbits!
SB: Missy is just a random woman’s name. Popular among the little people. (I’m lying; I know nothing about that section of our population.)
CG: Oh, sure. Right. Like you just guessed about the midget porn.
SB: Not at all. I can trace the thought train on how midget porn hits the mainstream due to this show with relative ease. I did note the spike when Total Recall was released.
CG: You’re a midget porn distributor in your spare time, ain’tcha? I can tell.
SB: I have a tracking collar on the midget porn industry.
CG: you scare me.
SB: I scare myself sometimes.

Desperately Staving Off Hibernation.

Sometimes, I feel like Rusty.

This weather (it’s -30 outside of my building today) only makes me believe that humans should take a hint from other large mammals.

A card-carrying member of the blog proliferrati.

The funniest joke ever:

Napoleon, Gandhi, and Winston Churchill knock on the gates of heaven. St. Peter emerges, list in hand. He looks at each of them and clears his throat. “This is all merely a construct of the living, to mitigate their dread of the unknown. Excuse me. I’ve got a tape ofGilmore Girls that I’d really like to watch now.”

From the lovely and talented McSweeney’s.
