I don’t even know what to put here. MHG had been trying for two weeks to get in touch with the real estate agent in charge of her dreams. Today. she received a call back with the message, “Oh, the landlord’s been in negotiations with [someone with a less geeky store concept] for a while now.”

Well, thanks for getting back to us with that vital information before we started working or putting any sort of emotional energy towards that particular location. Good customer service that.

I’m sorry that we didn’t show up in suits to see the torn-up guts of the building we were considering. I guess we must not be serious about this.

And thank you for acting excited (poorly) about our idea when you really didn’t have any intention of selling the property to us. We’ve learned our lesson.

For someone who loves games as much as I do, you’d think I would have learned the rules of this one faster.
